Tips for relaxing and having fun in the pool safely
Hi, I'm Danny!
Are you planning to treat yourself and your family to a swimming pool for relaxation? In addition to purely aesthetic aspects, you also need to pay maximum attention to safety from every point of view.
I want to reiterate this firmly: when it comes to pool safety, it's crucial not to leave anything to chance! To that end, I will try, with my advice, to help you choose the right materials and fittings to guarantee well-being and reliability.
Furthermore, I am here to offer you all my experience in the sector, to help you understand the tools available and the most correct procedures to implement for the daily maintenance of your pool.

Which type of pool to choose?
This is perhaps the first question we ask when considering pool safety!
You should always start by considering what kind of pool you want to build, based on your needs, the location (in terms of landscape), the available space, and the quantity and quality of the land you will be working on.
We start with composite panel pools, which are more resistant but also more expensive than inflatable ones.
When it comes to above-ground pools, we are referring to wooden and steel pools. They are sturdier in terms of structure and slightly larger.
Finally, for in-ground pools, which are convenient by definition, there are various models that differ based on materials, size, and organization.
They require real construction work, very often carried out by a professional, and a building permit, but if you are interested in this world, I recommend taking a look at our Easy Kits.

What depth is safest for a pool?
Before determining the depth of a pool, it is important to consider its intended use or the activities we want to carry out in it.
For example, is it a family pool also intended for small children? Or a pool for sports use? For a personal pool, however, it is always advisable not to go beyond an average depth of 1.5 m.
That said, there are numerous solutions for the pool bottom. The first thing to consider when talking about pool safety is all the parameters necessary to establish the depth of a pool.
You always start by determining its length and, of course, the material that will make up the bottom.
Also, don't underestimate the functionality of the pool itself: whether it will be used exclusively for swimming, whether we want to install a diving board, whether it will include a diving area or a relaxation beach, etc.
In most cases, always at the customer's request, we can opt for a pool with a flat bottom, meaning the entire surface has the same depth; or for a pool with varying levels of depth.

What materials to choose for the pool?
After the purely structural aspects, it's time to dedicate ourselves to selecting the materials that will make up our pool.
This is another fundamental step, because it will determine the state and functioning of the entire system. And consequently, the relaxation that will be enjoyed over time.
Without forgetting, of course, that pool safety is guaranteed by the installation of quality components and accessories.
Based on my experience, here is a list of all the systems that absolutely must not be missing: hydraulic circuit, pump (sized for each pool) and heat pump.
Furthermore, particular importance should be given to the pool lining, which is generally made of PVC.
For the latter, both resistance and bulk should be evaluated. Another plus is definitely the filter. On the market, including on our e-commerce ZavattiShop.com, we have many solutions available for immediate delivery.
For example, the cartridge filter and the sand filter. As with the previous dynamics, each type of pool must be equipped with the right filter.

What type of flooring should you choose for your pool?
First and foremost, when it comes to pool safety, anti-slip flooring is an absolute must! At the same time, it must also be anti-trauma, anti-mold, waterproof, non-slip, and resistant to chemicals, as these could damage the materials over the years.
Anti-slip flooring is essential not only in the pool area but also around the pool edge, to prevent simple water splashes from causing falls. Not to mention the perimeter of the pool, which is always wet.
For an infinity pool, as well as for an above-ground pool, you need to take all necessary precautions.
As repeatedly emphasized, we cannot help but take care of our pool, especially regarding the quality of the water, which must be bacteriologically pure.
A must for the maintenance of our body of water is certainly a Dolphin Maytronics robot, to be chosen from our showcase, all models in stock and with home delivery within 24/48 hours.
What to use for proper chlorine disinfection?
For proper management of our pool, especially in terms of pool safety, the first factor is to constantly monitor the pH and chlorine levels in the water.
Ensuring suitable dosages with certified chemical products, available in both granular and liquid variants, is fundamental.
To do this, there are plenty of right tools, such as our Blue Connect, a digital pool analyzer that I have been routinely testing at my home for two years now.
This device combines the water quality sensor with an intelligent algorithm that combines precise data on water status, temperature, and users.
Thanks to its app, it will help you take care of your pool 24/7, wherever you are. Blue Connect works in every type of pool, and its installation takes only 3 minutes. It can be placed directly in the pool.
