Choose your pool cleaning robot based on its lining
One of the pieces of information not to be overlooked when choosing a pool cleaning robot is the type of lining. Indeed, if your pool has a very smooth and slippery lining, the robot may not be able to climb the walls with the classic PVC slatted brushes. So how do you choose the most suitable model for your pool, based on the type of lining? Danny, your pool expert, answers.
A pool cleaning robot for every lining
If your pool is lined with PVC liner, the classic heat-sealed sheet, then all robots can adapt and will have no problems cleaning the bottom and walls.
For the choice of model, other characteristics of the pool will then come into play, such as dimensions, the presence of slopes or diving areas, and the desired optional features.
It is necessary, however, to choose a model with a combined brush, if you have a medium/small pool with a flat bottom or with slight slopes with mosaic or small tile lining.
The models that can be fitted with this brush are: Dolphin E30, E40i and E50i. Or you can choose the Dolphin F40, which already comes with combined brushes.
If you have a large pool, lined with tiles, fiberglass, painted concrete, or other smooth material, your pool cleaning robot must have kanebo sponge brushes.
The robots that can have these brushes are the Dolphin Maxi Kart and F60.
