Rectangular cover measuring 8 x 19 m, suitable for covering inground pools.

Winter cover produced at our factory in Poggio Rusco (Mn) by specialized technicians, experts in using the most modern heat-sealing technologies, adapting the process to the external temperature to avoid imperfections. The cover is created directly from the reinforced polyethylene roll, with any imperfections finished by hand.

Advantages of the basic inground pool cover

  • protects the water from debris and dirt, preventing leaves and organisms from altering the pool's pH conditions.

  • screens the water from sunlight, which is the main cause of chlorine evaporation and the consequent proliferation of microorganisms such as algae. Can be used as a summer isothermal cover.

  • eliminates the use of chemical substances thanks to protection from UV rays and organic substances. A shock treatment combined with winterizer is enough to face the cold.

  • allows for significant savings, stopping the use of the system reduces electricity and stops the purchase of chemicals.

Technical characteristics of the basic winter cover

  • fine mesh carbon reinforcement, essential for resistance to tearing and wear over time

  • 220gr/m2 PVC coated polyethylene, best weight/strength ratio to increase mobility without sacrificing strength

  • self-stabilizing, high resistance to degradation from temperature changes due to thermal excursion

  • very high capacity to maintain a stable temperature to block bacterial proliferation

  • waterproofing necessary for protection from rainwater that changes the pH value

  • no seams for excellent tensile strength, a characteristic necessary to combat bad weather

Useful tips for installing the winter pool cover

  1. To ensure optimal stability of the cover, the ideal water level should not exceed -10cm from ground level.

  2. Use the Clean Cover pump with water drainage kit (available in related products) to limit accumulation on the cover during persistent rains and keep the cover dry.

  3. For optimal installation, place the cover near the edge of the pool, lift the two corners, and proceed towards the opposite edge. Our covers are folded accordion-style to ensure quick pool closing.

  4. Perform proper winterization with granular chlorine Diklor Super (30gr/m3) and winterizer Winter Algastop (1L per 10m3) to be added one after the other.

 
 
Instructions for professional installation of the winter cover:
  • A space of at least 50 cm around the pool is necessary for the tubes to rest on and to ensure cover stability.
  • If the pool has skimmers, it is important to consider that 20 cm of cover will be lost on each side to compensate for the difference in level between the edge and the water.
  • To ensure optimal stability of the cover, the ideal water level should not exceed -10cm from ground level.
  • Use the Clean Cover pump with water drainage kit (available in related products) to limit accumulation on the cover during persistent rains and keep the cover dry. This is also very important to prevent water from escaping from under the cover due to the principle of communicating vessels.
  •  THE TUBULAR WEIGHTS SHOULD BE FILLED TO 50%

N.B. If you have a saltwater pool, please note that electrolysis significantly reduces the lifespan and resistance of the cover.

How to close the pool?

  1. Clean the pool bottom with the robot
  2. Perform backwash and check that the pump pre-filter is clean
  3. Check pH values (7.2 / 7.6)
  4. Perform super chlorination with Diklor Super
  5. Add Winter Algastop to prevent algae formation
  6. Leave the system on for at least 24 hours
  7. Cover the pool with the winter cover
  8. Use the cover pump to keep the cover dry and clean
  9. If temperatures are high, leave the system on during the hottest hours
  10. Leave the valves open and DO NOT lower the water level
