A worldwide exclusive: the brand new winter pool cover with anti-overturning windproof tubular weights, a Zavattishop patent. These latest generation tubular weights are the definitive solution for your swimming pool. Thanks to stabilizing heat seals and ultrasonic fastening, very high ground adhesion standards are achieved.

Winter cover produced at the Poggio Rusco (Mn) plant by specialized technicians. The tarpaulin is created directly from the reinforced polyethylene roll, with any imperfections finished by hand.

 

Advantages of the cover with windproof tubular weights:

  • protects the water from debris and dirt, prevents leaves and organisms from changing the pH conditions of the pool.
  • shields the water from sunlight, which is the main cause of chlorine evaporation and the consequent proliferation of microorganisms such as algae. Can be used as a summer isothermal cover.
  • eliminates the use of chemicals thanks to protection from UV rays and organic substances. A shock treatment combined with winterizing product is enough to face the cold season.
  • allows significant savings, as the system is no longer used, reducing electricity consumption, and the purchase of chemicals is stopped.


Technical characteristics of the winter cover with anti-overturning tubular weights:

  • equipped with reinforced PVC tubular weights of 600gr/m2 with stabilizing heat seals
  • fine-mesh carbon reinforcement, essential for resistance to tearing and wear over time
  • 220gr/m2 PVC coated polyethylene, best weight/strength ratio for increased mobility without sacrificing strength
  • self-stabilizing, high resistance to degradation from temperature fluctuations due to thermal excursion
  • very high capacity to keep the temperature stable to block the proliferation of bacteria
  • waterproofing necessary for protection from rainwater that changes the pH value

COMPLETE YOUR WINTER COVER BY PURCHASING THE COVER DRAIN PUMP (you can find it in related items).

The cover drain pump should be placed in the center of the winter cover and kept constantly powered. Upon detecting a few centimeters of water, the pump activates autonomously and expels it through a drain hose. This way, the cover will always remain dry and clean.


 
   
 
Instructions for professional installation of the winter cover:

  • Around the pool, a space of at least 50 cm is required for the tubular weights to rest and to ensure the stability of the cover.
  • If the pool has a skimmer, it is important to note that 20 cm of the cover will be lost on each side to compensate for the difference in level between the edge and the water.
  • To ensure optimal stability of the cover, the ideal water level should not exceed -10cm from the ground level.
  • Use the Clean Cover drain pump with water drainage kit (available in related products) to limit water accumulation on the cover during heavy rains and keep the cover dry. It is also very important to prevent water from escaping from under the cover due to the principle of communicating vessels.
  •  THE TUBULAR WEIGHTS SHOULD BE FILLED TO 50%

    N.B. If you have a saltwater pool, please note that electrolysis significantly reduces the lifespan and resistance of the cover.

How to close the pool?

  1. Clean the pool bottom with a robot.
  2. Perform backwashing and check that the pump pre-filter is clean.
  3. Check pH values (7.2 / 7.6).
  4. Perform a super chlorination with Diklor Super.
  5. Add Winter Algastop to prevent algae formation.
  6. Leave the system on for at least 24 hours.
  7. Cover the pool with the winter cover.
  8. Use the cover drain pump to keep the cover dry and clean.
  9. If temperatures are high, leave the system on during the hottest hours.
  10. Leave the valves open and DO NOT lower the water level.
