Other information regarding the pool to consider when choosing a cleaning robot is the type of lining and the type of bottom. If you have a PVC-lined pool, blade brushes are fine; they allow the robot to adhere well even to the walls. If, on the other hand, you have a mosaic-lined, tiled, or painted pool, it is better to choose kanebo (sponge) brushes or combined (partially with blades and partially with sponge) brushes. As for the bottom, if you have a flat bottom or gentle slopes, single-motor robots are suitable, even without a swivel cable. If, however, you have deep slopes, or hoppers, diving areas... it is advisable to consider purchasing a robot with a dual traction motor and a swivel cable, which will work much better on this type of bottom.
