Algaecide is an anti-slime agent that primarily works on bacterial flora, preventing and avoiding algae formation in your pool. To understand its function and proper use, it is necessary to know the origin and formation of algae. Algae in pools only form when average water temperatures exceed 27 degrees; for this reason, the use of Algastop is recommended only during the hottest weeks, during the summer season, and obviously in conjunction with pool use.

Algae are microscopic plant organisms carried by wind and rain. They turn the water green, make both the walls and the bottom of the tank slimy, giving the entire pool an unpleasant appearance. In order to prevent this annoying but frequent problem, the use of specific products with periodic dosages is recommended.

The chemical product par excellence for algae is certainly Algastop, essential for preventing algae formation in the pool. This product also has the ability to detach algae particles from the pool lining, so that they can be vacuumed by the robot cleaner.

At the beginning of the season, use with shock treatment: 7 liters per 100 m3 of water, then maintain with weekly treatments of 3 liters per 100 m3 of water, during warmer periods.
